Wedding Activities

Garden Wedding Grand Entrance and Exits

How you and your hubby will do your entrance or exit on your wedding can do a lot to stress your chosen theme.

Depending on whether your wedding location will allow it, you can choose to arrive via bicycle(s), scooter or wearing rollerblades. Whether you choose one or the other, each entrance or exit idea is just perfect for a spring or summer wedding.

If you want a less fantastic yet still theme-based entrance alternatives, arriving or leaving amidst a shower of flower petals or a butterfly release is also very fitting. We think that the latter is grander and more unique, so unless you have a reason not to like the idea, we say go for a butterfly shower.

Garden Wedding Theme Games

We think that games which can bring other couples together, one that can help your guests meet new friends, or any activities that has something to do with you and your groom, are perfect candidates for your wedding games. Here are some of our game ideas for this theme:

Green Balloon Race

It is time to call out some single male and female guests who you think are up to a game. Each team will be composed of a male and female pair.

The goal of the female of the team is to bring a green balloon from one side of the room to where her male counterpart is seated. She will then bring it to him and he is to pop the balloon. Once it’s popped, the female player will again go fetch another balloon and repeat the whole process until all the balloons are finished or the allotted time is up.

The pair with the most number of balloons popped within the allocated time wins a greenish prize!

Flowers For You

This is another game that needs the participation of your single male and female guests. It will play like Musical Chairs, but of course with the right wedding and flowery twist.

The male players will be the “chairs” and should be one less than the available ladies. As with the original game, while the music is playing, the girls will be circling around the “chairs”. Each of these ladies will be holding a bunch of the bride’s favorite flowers. When the music stops, she must give her flowers to the man nearest her. The lady who failed to do so (or is late in doing so) is out of the game, the music resumes and the game starts all over again. This will play on until you’re down to your final couple.

Feel free to change the game a bit and make your ladies your "chairs" instead.

Perfect Catch

You will need numerous pairs of your male and female guests for this game.

The goal of the game is for one of the players to catch all the tosses made by his/her partner. The person doing the toss should do the toss like a typical bridal bouquet toss. To make the experience more interesting, let your male guests do the tossing while your female guests will do the catching.

Give your pair a time limit to do their tossing and catching. The pair with the most number of catches within said time will be your winning pair!

To make this a perfect wedding game, make sure your bouquets are full of your favorite flowers.

Butterfly Piñata

This is popularly played by kids but we don’t see any reason if you want to give your grownup guests a shot in breaking your butterfly piñata.
