How you dress speaks a lot of your chosen theme so check out these wedding dress ideas that will work perfectly with the theme of your choice

Cinderella Wedding Dress Ideas

The cool thing about going for this theme is that your wedding gown will be the least of your problems, since Cinderella is pretty popular in the wedding gown industry. With lots of designers trying to do their own modern rendition of Cinderella’s beautiful dress, the problem will be too much choices rather than the opposite.

If you prefer the old fashion look and would like go for the more authentic version, we think that designing your wedding gown based on popular fashion during the 1690s (Cinderella was written the year 1697) will be a cool idea. Though not exactly a wedding dress, we found this image of a 1690s fashion that can serve as a pattern for your wedding dress.

A tiara should definitely be one of your accessories, and so are heart-shaped glass jewelries. We love the idea of getting a glass slipper pendant, which will be a nice addition to your chosen attire and accessories.

Dressing ala Cinderella’s prince is definitely one approach to your groom attire. But if you prefer going for the more modern version, then getting a tuxedo is the answer. Depending on how formal you want things to be, he can even go for the whole shebang – white shirt, vest, tuxedo, top hat, kid gloves, and of course dress shoes.

Pink flowers, whether roses or calla lilies, are definitely in when you’re having a princess wedding, but if you want a white wedding bouquet, a combination of white roses and peonies is also another option.

Country Wedding Dress Ideas

A country wedding usually involves a simple wedding gown, which can come with a bolero, some raffles and lace. A refurbished old fashion gown can be a candidate, but there’s really no rule that says your gown needs to be that old-fashioned for it to be a great country wedding dress.  Since you will be in the great outdoors majority of the time, this fact needs to be considered when choosing the material of your wedding gown since something light and airy is more suitable, especially if you’re having your wedding during the hot seasons, right?

Flowers like daisies, wildflowers, and the like as hair decoration, may it be as a wreath or not, are quite popular for country weddings so if this is the kind of look you can picture for yourself on your big day, then be sure to go for it. We will leave your actual hair arrangement to you, because we feel that as long as you have the right flower accompaniment, you can go for loose curls, braids or whatever hairstyle you will look good at, and you’ll be fine.

Since your event will mainly be happening outside, be sure to consider Mother Nature when choosing the right attire for your groom. A formal wear is not a good idea for a country wedding, and although you can still go for the typical black coat and tie, consider if he can wear something of lighter colors and materials, as long as he can still look good and fit on your big day. For accessories, a flower boutonnière is in order, one that can be better described as rustic instead of the typical posh and grand-looking ones.

Your female entourage can still wear something with lace and ruffles, and should come in a color that will look great outdoors. Flowers should still be part of their accessories, from hair wreaths, flowers tucked on their hair, or maybe something that can pass as their bracelet. For your male entourage, they can have a similar coat as that of the groom, but maybe of a different shade and of different cut. Flowers popularly seen in the country should still be part of their getup.

Wildflowers, daisies, shrubs, some grain stalk or maybe a bouquet made of fruits, berries specifically, can be your wedding bouquet. Just make sure it remains simple-looking, since that is a MUST ingredient for any country wedding.

Daisy Wedding Dress Ideas

A lightweight and thin dress with yellow accent is the way to go for a daisy-themed wedding, since most likely, you are having a wedding amidst the summer heat and you want to be comfortable as possible. A sleeveless, tube or off-shoulder wedding dress is very fitting, so if you will look great on one of those designs, then you must absolutely go for it.

Accessorizing with daisies, butterfly-shaped, or yellow accessories will be perfect additions so if you have earrings or pins that meets this criteria, now's the perfect time to showcase them. Complete your wedding attire with some shoes or sandals in yellow or one with butterfly design, but just in case you can't find one, we think that your most feminine footwear will be a good alternative.

Getting married during the summer means you need constant retouch of your makeup so be sure to make some arrangements to make this possible.

Your groom must also be dressed for a spring or summer wedding, so this means going for lighter colors and something with thinner material. Going for tie instead of neck wraps will be a more comfortable option so we highly recommend it (especially a tie in yellow or with flowery design). Be sure to prepare some extra shirt, since looking fresh on your wedding day is a MUST.

We also think that your entourage should be wearing something yellowish and light, with the daisy accents in the right places.

There’s no question about it, your wedding bouquet should be composed of daisies, daisies and daisies. However, we think you can get away with adding some white flowers in the picture so be sure to consider it.

Fall Wedding Dress Ideas

Going for a dress with enough gold trimmings and accents is the way to go if you’re pushing for a fall wedding. Since you will never know ahead of time whether the day of your wedding will be warm or cold, we highly recommend going for tubes, sleeveless or off-shoulder dresses and just prepare some shawl (with gold accents of course) just in case it is not as warm as you expected.

Another approach to your wedding attire is to ensure that your wedding gown comes with what we call fall designs. This means a wedding gown wherein fall flowers are a big part of the design, how big a part depends on your preference. We saw some gowns with roses and ruffles that might happen to be what you want for your big day.

Accessorizing with flowers, gold ribbons and jewelries will further accentuate your love of autumn so we definitely recommend it. Complete your wedding attire with some shoes or sandals in gold and/or with the right flower designs, to complement what you’re wearing.

Your groom must also show some preference for the gold color, which can be shown in his chosen vest, tie and accessories (eg. gold cufflinks). Going for solid and dark colors is also an alternative for your hubby to be.

Similar to your dress, your entourage can wear something sleeveless, off-shoulder and the like with gold accents and the right wraps just in case it turns chilly. Their male counterparts need some gold in their vest and/or ties as well.

There are lots of flowers that happen to bloom a lot during this season so just choose your favorite among them for your wedding bouquet.

Fishing Wedding Dress Ideas

If you will look good in a mermaid-style dress, then that is the best wedding gown style if you’re opting for a gone fishing wedding theme. If you prefer a different style, then going for the right color instead of cut will be fine and on this case, a silver one is the way to go. Add some birdcage veil in the picture and you’re almost perfectly dressed for your chosen theme.

If you’re having your wedding during the summer, make sure that your groom is wearing a summer-friendly attire, something in light colors and of thin materials. He can complete his chosen outfit with some cool-looking fishing hat and some silver accessories in the right places.

Water lily and other flowers that grow in either rivers or wet areas are great candidates for your wedding bouquet. You can even have some lilies tuck in your ear and hair if you’re up to it. For your jewelries, anything of silver or white gold is cool, but something that comes in fish shape will be fantastic!

Garden Wedding Dress Ideas

A lightweight and thin dress is very appropriate for a garden wedding, since most likely, you are having a wedding amidst the summer heat and you want to be comfortable as much as possible. A sleeveless, tube or off-shoulder wedding dress is very fitting, so if you will look great on one of those designs, then we think you should go for it.

Accessorizing with flowers and some butterfly-shaped accessories will be perfect additions so if you have earrings or pins that meets this criteria, now's the perfect time to showcase them. Complete your wedding attire with some shoes or sandals with flower or butterfly designs, to complement what you’re wearing.

Getting married during the summer means you need constant retouch of your makeup so be sure to make arrangements to make this possible.

Your groom must also be dressed for a spring or summer wedding, so this means going for lighter colors and something with thinner material. Going for tie instead of neck wraps will be a more comfortable option so we highly recommend it (especially a tie in green or with flowery design). Be sure to prepare some extra shirt, since his looking fresh on your wedding day is a MUST.

We also think that your entourage should be wearing something light and thin, either sleeveless, tube or off-shoulder cut for the ladies, to combat the summer heat.

Your wedding bouquet should be composed of your favorite flowers. We highly suggest going for favorites that bloom during the summer, so you won’t have any problem with regards to its availability, not to mention it is the more cost-effective alternative anyway.

Golf Wedding Dress Ideas

Going for a sporty wedding dress is the way to go if you’re opting for a golf wedding. You can choose to add some design related to golf, but if you prefer something subtle, we think that adding green accents is the better way to go.

Did you know that golf can be traced back to its Scottish roots? Hence, we think going for a wedding dress of Scottish design is another approach to anyone having a golf wedding. Though the traditional Scottish wedding dress means wearing a full tartan dress, we love the idea of a dress with silk and tartan combined. Of course, if you don’t love the idea of tartan in any part of your wedding dress, check out this cool silk bridal dress that comes with irregular hem and flounces, which makes it a perfect Scottish wedding dress minus the tartan.

Once you finalized your dress, it’s time to accessorize. There are lots golf-themed jewelries that will work nicely with your wedding dress. From nice earrings to bracelets, they come with the right clean design that will make brides who also happen to be golf advocates swear by them.

If you’re having your wedding during the summer, make sure that your groom is wearing a summer-friendly attire, something in light colors and of thin materials. This can be a summer sport coat if you’re going for something less formal, but if you require a more formal attire, then formal coats in lighter shades and materials are just right for him. He can complete his chosen outfit with some cool-looking golf cap, a tie that reminds you of golf, and some other accessories like golf cufflinks. Now if you’re going for the Scottish look instead, then your groom should wear kilts all over – from a kilt jacket to a kilt shoes.

We also love the idea of your cute kiddies wearing mini tartan dresses and kilts, while your older entourage can wear something similar but in normal size. You can play around with the colors and design, just make sure that your and your groom’s togs are way grander.

Complete your golf wedding attire with some green and white bouquet. That will be a nice touch to the other things you have prepared so far.

Green Wedding Dress Ideas

There are many ways to approach your green wedding dress. You can be literal about it and just wear something that has green accents. Or you can really “go green” and read through the rest of our ideas.

Going for a refurbished gown is definitely one way to go, although renting your wedding gown is another option. Both ideas can be cheaper than going for a grand and brand new attire, which will mean more budget for the rest of your wedding preparations, or it can also mean more savings or more money for your favorite environmental charity, if that’s part of your plan.

However, if you do plan to go for a new dress, especially if this is a critical factor to your having your dream wedding, then going for gowns made of eco-friendly materials like hemp, peace silk, and organic cotton is the way to go. You can even go one step further and donate your wedding gown to organizations like Brides Against Breast Cancer and grant some wishes in the process.

Any organic and green flowers in your hair and bouquet will be fantastic and very fitting to your chosen wedding theme. Complete your wedding attire by wearing some green jewelries like emerald or jade.

Most of the above ideas are also applicable to your groom’s attire, so whether he wants to go for the whole shebang and wear tuxedo on your wedding day, buying used, renting, or having one made of organic material should do the trick. Wearing a vest with green accents and maybe some green or environment-themed cufflinks will be perfect additions to his chosen wedding attire.

Las Vegas Wedding Dress Ideas

Although going for an adventurous wedding is not limited to those having a Vegas wedding, a Vegas wedding definitely doesn’t lack on the adventure sense, so if you are of the same mind, then go for one. And your wedding attire is one aspect that can be affected by this decision.

Wacky or a unique wedding attire is not a MUST for those inclined to have their wedding in Vegas, although more often than not, couples who prefer a Vegas wedding also prefer dressing up ala some icons that they look up to. Want to dress up ala Humphrey Bogart and Audrey Hepburn?  As wench to your groom’s pirate captain? Although you don’t need to go to Vegas to do this, a Vegas wedding is definitely a good opportunity to dress up as such. And the cool thing about going for this approach? We bet you will have tons of fun challenging your creative juices in the process!

Of course, if you want to just be “yourselves” on your big day, then a dress in gold, silver, or red (ala queen of hearts) is something you can look at. However, there’s really no rule that says you need to choose these hues, as long as you choose to wear something that makes you feel like a million dollars, which shouldn’t be difficult since that’s every bride’s dream look on their wedding day, right?

Once you finalized your dress, it’s time to accessorize. If you’re going for a more casual look, then accessorizing with hearts, clover leaf and so on is something to consider. But if you’re aiming to look grand, then it should be diamonds (or something that looks like it) all the way. Make sure you have something that sparkles on your hair, your neck, your wrist and your feet.

Depending on how formal your dress is, your groom must also wear something similar. He can leave all the sparkling to you, but we don’t see any reason for him not to wear a bit of accessories here and there. Some gold or glinting cufflinks will not be over the top. A gold tie is something that he can consider. And if he happens to have an ear piercing and intends to wear an earring on your wedding, then make sure he’s wearing something that glints, so it’s either a diamond or a relative.

If you have an entourage, they should wear something that complements whatever you’re wearing. This means coat and tie for your boys and men, while something in brown and pink for your girls, if you’re going for gold. Of course it should be of bluish hue if you’re going for silver.

Peach flowers will definitely look grand with your goldish wedding gown, while something pinkish will work well with your silver one. Of course if your dream wedding means having a bouquet full of white flowers, that should be fine, since the cool thing with white is that it will work well with almost anything, and will look nice whether you’re going for gold or silver.

Majority of couples having a Vegas wedding prefers to have their reception back home. If you belong to this category, depending on how formal your affair is, you can choose to wear your wedding gown on your “home” reception, or just wear something much simpler if you’re just having a small event. So if you didn’t go for the red gown idea because you want a traditional white on your big day, then this gives you an opportunity to explore if you can carry a red gown with as much poise as the Queen of Hearts on your “home” event. As for your groom, his attire greatly depends on what you will wear, so if you’re going for a formal thing, then his tux will do, but if you’re wearing something less formal, then he can forget about wearing his top hat and neck cloth and just go for a suit that will perfectly match your dress.

Luau Wedding Dress Ideas

A white and light dress is definitely the order of the day if you’re having a luau-themed wedding. Tucking a flower in your ear is very fitting and so are flowers in your hair. Wearing a lei is definitely expected, so be sure to get one. Adding an anklet made of flowers will also be cool. If you want to stop there, that should be fine, but if you prefer additional ornaments, we think that accessories made of seashells are great and are worthy candidates. And the great thing is, you can find seashell necklace, bracelet, earrings, and anklet in all shapes and sizes which should give you a lot of choices. To complete the picture, you can choose to wear some flowery sandals or some fancy-looking white flip-flops.

Having a luau wedding is a great chance for your groom to wear white as well, since an airy and light shirt with white slacks is one of the more popular choices of grooms having a luau wedding. Depending on how casual you want things to be, he can also wear a rolled-up khaki pants with that white shirt. Wearing a lei with that getup should be fine and he can complete the picture with some moccasins for his footwear.

For your wedding bouquet, you can choose tropical flowers since they are perfect for luau weddings.  Orchid is one of the more popular choices, but we don’t see any reason why you can’t include some birds of paradise or hibiscus as part of your wedding bouquet. Whether you go for pure orchids or a combination of flowers, you must ensure that your wedding bouquet is colorful, since that is one of the requirements of a wonderful luau wedding!

Mexican Wedding Dress Ideas

Getting a wedding dress that looks like a flamenco dancer’s costume can be one approach to your Mexican wedding gown. However, if you prefer something more traditional, then getting a wedding dress which requires a bolero jacket will be a worthy alternative. Adding a mantilla in the picture will also be cool.

Your groom can choose to look like a matador, which will mean tight-fitting pants and a bolero jacket. There’s something quite cool about how a matador looks so if he's going for this idea and with you in your flamenco dancer costume, you and groom will definitely look lovely together!

For your wedding bouquet, we suggest a bouquet that includes Dahlia, which is Mexico’s national flower, in the picture. Including a rosary and other religious items as part of your accessories will make your Mexican wedding very traditional, just the way you like it.
