Winter Wedding Grand Entrance and Exits

How you and your hubby will do your entrance or exit on your wedding can do a lot to stress your chosen theme.

Think of Santa and his merry reindeers and you have a cool entrance/exit idea which is just perfect for a winter wedding. If you cannot rent a reindeer in your area, no worries, since a horse-driven sleigh is the next best thing.

If you love sledding and you happen to have a not so formal wedding, then this entrance idea is definitely worth considering. We don’t know about you, but this will definitely a lot to your wedding’s fun factor. Arriving by skis is of course another option, but we do think sledding by twos is more romantic, which is a definitely a plus on your big day.

We think that a cool ice skating place is a good wedding location, so if you are going for this, arriving by skates is somewhat expected. We will leave it to you, but showcasing your ability to figure skate as soon as you enter your wedding reception is quite cool.

But of course if you prefer the warmth of a heated car, then just pick a silver or gold and elegant-looking car and you can still make a very theme-based and grand entrance/exit. It’s less adventurous compared to the other ideas, but hey, this is your big day, so it’s your preference that counts.

Winter Wedding Theme Games

We think that games which can bring other couples together, one that can help your guests meet new friends, or any activities that has something to do with you and your groom, are perfect candidates for your wedding games. Here are some of our game ideas for this theme:

Bring Me Some Winter Stuff

This will play like the typical Bring Me game, with of course some wintery twist. Just in case you’re not familiar with this game’s mechanics, the idea here is to ask your guests to bring something, wherein something here should be associated to wedding in general, you or your groom, and the winter season. So your list of Bring Me items can include someone with green socks, a guest with a red hanky, a pair of mittens, or a photo of the bride or groom. The guess table with the most number of points (only those who first brought the correct item will garner points) will win some cool prizes.

Secret Santa Trivia

This is actually a bride and groom trivia game, with some Christmasy twist, which should make it a perfect candidate for any winter wedding.

The idea here is to have some Secret Santa theme – something soft and cuddly, something icky, something yellow, you get the drift. And here’s where the trivia part will come in. Before the wedding, the bride and groom should provide their idea for each theme. For example, your soft and cuddly can be a teddy bear, while your groom’s can be a pillow. During the wedding, you can ask your guests to guess who gave what answer. To make it extra challenging, you might want to add some red herrings in the picture.

We will leave it to you whether to play this by individual or by group/table.

Catching Poinsettias

You will need numerous pairs of your male and female guests for this game.

The goal of the game is for one of the players to catch all the tosses made by his/her partner. The person doing the toss should do the toss like a typical bridal bouquet toss. To make the experience more interesting, let your male guests do the tossing while your female guests will do the catching.

Give your pair a time limit to do their tossing and catching. The pair with the most number of catches within said time will be your winning pair!

Snowflake Piñata

We love snowflakes so we think a game which features it is a good winter wedding activity.

Although this is more popularly played by kids, we don’t see any reason if you want to give your grownup guests a shot in breaking your snowflake piñata.
